The specific pay rate/salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a number of factors including experience, education, specialized certifications from OEMs, and where the job is located.

The ADAS Technician (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Technician) performs all calibration duties, including but not limited to calibrating and repairing the vehicle systems back to pre-accident conditions per the OEM specifications.

Job Requirements

  • Calibration and Adjustment:
    1. Calibrates and adjusts sensors, cameras, and radars for systems like lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, and parking assistance.
  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
    1. Uses specialized diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues with ADAS components, such as cameras, radars, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors.
  • Software Updates:
    1. Installs software updates or patches to ensure systems are functioning correctly and incorporate the latest advancements.
  • Integration and Testing:
    1. Ensures proper integration of ADAS components with the vehicle’s overall electrical and mechanical systems.
    2. Conducts tests to verify system performance after maintenance or repairs.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with calibration tools and software
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing complex systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturer-specific ADAS guidelines and requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company insurance policy
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check and MVR
  • 1 year experience in ADAS preferred, but will train the right candidate
  • Microsoft Office and CCC One experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and pull
  • Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
  • Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
  • Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
  • Standing, sitting, and walking
  • Performing repetitive motions
