The specific pay rate/salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a number of factors including experience, education, specialized certifications from OEMs, and where the job is located.

This Compensation Specialist supports companywide compensation programs and is responsible for the administration and implementation of compensation plans consistent with the goals and objectives of VIVE. The position requires significant financial acumen and will provide support, guidelines, and recommendations on base pay management and incentive programs. Communicates compensation knowledge and practices to HR team members and other employees.

Job Responsibilites

  • Supports the administration of base pay and incentive programs, including salary increases, recurring bonus programs, the Annual Bonus Plan, and other recognition programs.
  • Supports designing and maintaining the organization’s pay structure, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidance.
  • Administers bonus payout for recurring bonuses. This includes producing bonus calculations based on incentive plan matrices and compiling payouts for submission to the Payroll department for processing.
  • Provide guidance on payment administration, respond to plan and payout inquiries, submit requests for processing to payroll, calculate retro payments as needed, and create letters of communication.
  • Provides analytical and trend reporting of existing workforce and pay programs, delivering recurring reporting to stakeholders on crucial information.
  • Communicates and works in partnership with HR team members, sales operations, and Finance on compensation programs, initiates, projects, and systems.
  • Participate in salary surveys and provide market analysis on an annual and ad-hoc basis.
  • Provides support for project plans and programs/projects in support of the compensation department. Tracks project deliverables and hold fellow team members accountable for their responsibilities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience in compensation administration and analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, macros, formulas, data validation, and tables
  • Knowledge of HRIS Systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred), including running queries and accessing and manipulating data
  • Data Modeling and research skills Understanding basic finance and accounting
  • Analyzing financial data related to compensation
  • Using financial analysis skills to develop pay structures
  • Conducting cost analyses for employee negotiations
  • Ability to think creatively and take various perspectives when considering a topic
  • Ability to take an abstract concept and turn it into a tangible product
  • Understands how the business works and an in-depth knowledge of the impact of rewards programs and compensation on the business’s employees and financial metrics
